Loved my old pair so much that when I realized I’d lost one after a recent trip, I cried a little, and then ordered a new pair. Now I gotta get to work cuz they’re too damn clean and perfect. Exactly the same as the last pair. Wonderful in every way. But look at them. Gross.

Fantastic glove, super high quality. I pretty predictably tear 1-2 pairs of gloves up per year. Generally in the crotch between the thumb and pointer finger. These use the thickest leather I’ve ever seen. They also double layered it in all the places I’ve seen my other gloves fail. I also thought I’d be a large, I am in fact a medium. Follow their thorough sizing guides and you will be fine. Well done Vermont Glove Company. I’m pitching these to everyone I ride the lift with. Let me know if your hiring 😉.

The construction of these gloves is special in ways that are hard to understand until you put one on. Between careful leather selection and perfect seam placement, the fingertips are incredibly tactile even with the extra reinforcing strip. The cuff is easy to adjust and perfect for snow shoveling, winter biking, picking up trash in your local park, etc. The leather is excellent all around, waterproofs extremely well (between yard work on snow-melty days and biking in the rain I haven't seen one drop get in), soft and flexible, but feels indestructible. I dropped one of my gloves off my bicycle in the middle of a busy road on a Friday afternoon and didn't notice and retrieve it until Saturday morning. I'd post a picture but after shaking off a little grit and rinsing with water it still looks the same as the other glove! (And if I had lost the glove, they're sold individually too.) Just bought a pair of Flatlanders that will certainly be my go-to glove to until next fall.

Customer photo review of Uphill Skier

I love em! These gloves are sturdily constructed, well thought out, and a little quirky. After being treated generously with the beeswax they were nice and dry even after many powder tumbles. They don't seem to mention it on the website, but there's a small leather loop on the inside of the cuff to attached glove leashes which is very convenient. I used them on a ski trip to CO when it was COLD, about 5-15F at the base and colder as we ascended. These work fine at these temperatures assuming that you keep your core temp up. I enjoyed the moguls so this wasn't much of an issue. Most gloves start struggling at these temperatures if you're static so I don't really hold it against em. If you're anticipating cold temps and aren't super active on the slopes then I would opt for the mittens. They're pretty much the only American made gloves that are workable for skiing, and with a little care these are built to last a long time. I highly recommend them.

Customer photo review of Uphill Skier

Great gloves. They were as thick as I expected. One surprise was how soft the leather finish was on the inside. Very comfortable and cozy. Love the feel. Photos show are with one treatment of neatsfoot oil and working them in a bit. The wrist cinches are very well thought out and functional. I sized my hond to a Large with the Vermont Glove printable scale and they fit perfectly in my opinion. With or without the liners they fit great. Wool liners are not super thick. They advertise these as good ski gloves and I would bet they work well for that but based on my experience I would not expect these to keep your hands warm when not moving in sub zero temps. When moving and active they should be fine. Overall a great quality product and in my opinion a bit overpriced at $150 but nonetheless a great quality pair of gloves that I am sure to get a lot of multipurpose miles out of.

I’ve had a lot of gloves over the years and these are by far the highest quality, most well made of them all. Very impressive. It’s summer now in Indiana but i can’t wait for wintertime to try these out. Neatsfoot oil and beeswax make these perfect. Thanks guys - keep up the great work!

Great spring skiing glove. A bit chilly on the lift (28F and wind 8mph) but when actually skiing it was comfy - hands did not get sweaty - breathes very well and dexterity is excellent. I would recommend sizing up to allow for an air pocket between your finger and glove tip.

Nice thick gloves with wool liners which kept my fingers warm in 5F weather. I followed the waterproofing care instructions before taking them on my ski trip and indeed, they were/became waterproof.

Awesome! Medium was tight out of the box. Been wearing them regularly and now they are perfectly molded to my hand. Several coats of Skidmore along the way and they are waterproof perfection!

Took these out for the first time on my AIARE 1 and they were amazing. The liners kept me warm and the leathers were great on their own during high activity.

Customer photo review of Uphill Skier

I totally love the glove and the liners but it drives me crazy that every time I take the gloves of the liners pull off in a kinda funny/not so funny way. What I’m trying to say is that every time I put the glove on I have to remove the liner, put it on first then the glove. Kind of a pain in the butt-inski. Other than that I think it’s the best glove I’ve ever put on my hands and wouldn’t hesitate to bye another pair as well as recommend them to everyone on the planet. Thank you for taking such pride in making this over the top quality product. Jim- Chelsea,Vt

I have many pairs of gloves and these are by far my favorite. I primarily wear them while riding lifts and while on patrol. I typically stash the liners in my pockets for the coldest of days. They have broken in nicely and the design with the seam on top of the hand really provides great dexterity for this type of glove. I have found if touring with them they work well but if you’re wearing only the liner the gloves can get quite cold hanging out in the pack. I really love the heritage of this company and the owner is a stand up guy. Recommend these to all my friends and family. In the off season I stash them in the door of my van or use them for yard work.

With a liner I had to go up a size.

Uphill Skier

Sturdy tough well made gloves.

Uphill Skier

Great gloves. Sizing a little weird for me, but hey, now my son has a hand-me-down pair too!

Uphill Skier

These are the coolest, most durable, best smelling, best looking, best feeling gloves that I’ve ever seen, felt, or put on. I purchased the water proofing wax and applied it as soon as the gloves arrived in the mail. Here’s how much I like these gloves: I keep them on my desk and randomly put them on throughout the day 🤪!! All kidding aside, I cannot recommend these gloves any more highly. They are everything I hoped for and more. I plan to purchase the Jeflo mitt later this fall because Vermont Gloves makes the best gloves, and it’s not even close!!

Uphill Skier

Love the design and feel of the uphill skier, but I wish they were warmer, designed with a thicker wool liner. I won't use these gloves at temps below 20 degrees Fahrenheit give or take, a temp we frequently go below in winter.

Uphill Skier

Love the gloves. Very well made, super soft, excellent craftsmanship. Wore them skiing during mild conditions (30-50c) and didn’t need liners. Very comfortable. Conditioned them several times with the conditioner then waterproof’d them 4x with their oven method. Warmer temps meant slushy snow by days end and gloves remained waterproof. Also got the merino liners, and wish I would have upsized leather gloves, but still give them 5/5 stars. Will buy again. Damn fine product.

Uphill Skier

Fit guide was spot on using the tailor's tape measure technique. Well made and obviously built to last.

Uphill Skier

Excellent attention to detail and material quality.

Uphill Skier

Quality extraordinaire with durability often not seen in this century.

Uphill Skier

The Uphill Skier exceeded my expectations, just like the Vermonter. I've tried so many diferent gloves over the years, but have now found the last brand I will ever buy. The fit and durability with Vermont Gloves is second to none!

Uphill Skier

These gloves are constructed very well and comprised of long lasting materials. I have not had may chances to wear them yet. However, I did wear the twice on very cold 5 * or 10* days skiing in bounds. They performed as well as my other Rab and Black Diamond gloves. ( as temp dropped i use a hand warmer). Great quality great glove. The only wish is that the liner would velcro on place.

Uphill Skier

Extremely well-made and comfortable. Online size tool is very accurate. The removable wool lining makes the gloves perfect for every season. Fine craftsmanship and a great value.

Uphill Skier

Love that they are Vermont made, Jealous that they are not made here in Maine. Super awesome quality. Haven't used them long enough to know durability, but I am pretty confident that they will hold up well. A++ from a hard-working guy.

Uphill Skier

These gloves are more comfortable than I could have expected. They seem tough too, I work on boats and handle lines all day in all weather and these are holding up, and keeping my hands warm enough. Really glad I found this company, love the product, the craftsmanship, and the history of the business. If there were more companies who built products to this standard of quality it would be a better world. Thanks folks, I wish you all the best, you do important work.

Uphill Skier

Great gloves . Not the most convenient to put on because of the liners . The option of the lined glove comes only in a style i don't prefer.

Uphill Skier

Bought for my brother, he loves them for good fit and warmth.

Uphill Skier

Right out of the box, brought them hiking, in January, to Azerbaijan's Caucasus' region. Super performance, super warm, super durable - and all knowing that, as the gloves get broken in and really seasoned, it'll only get better. Top shelf, only-possible-with-made-in-the-USA products - gloves will clearly outlive me...Doesn't get better than this...Thank you, thank you!! Best, James

Uphill Skier

If you like versatility, this is the glove for you. Used it skiing at 17-28 degrees performed perfectly. Warmer than expected. Also when you get to warm just use the liner. I also conditioned and waterproofed the leather. Water just beads off. Glove is awesome!!!

Uphill Skier

Well constructed. Fits well. Love the liner. Keeps my hands warm.

Uphill Skier

Bought these because they have the long cuff. I confirmed they are made with the same weight leather as their work gloves, because I intend to work with them, not ski. I just got back from shoveling snow for three hours and was completely comfortable. Not cold at all, not too hot. Having replaceable (merino wool!) liners is a bonus. Worth every penny.

Uphill Skier

The uphill gloves I’ve had for 2 months are always with me. Working outside day in and day out! They are very comfortable and the dexterity is not diminished like other leather gloves. And the most important part is they are made right here in Vermont!
