The most accurate way to determine your glove size is to download and print our hand tracing template.
The Flatlander is both lighter weight and made with seams on the inside, which allow the glove to perform with more dexterity.
No. Your glove size is uniform across all our styles. If you wear a Medium in the Vermonter, you will wear a Medium in the Flatlander (and Uphill Skier, etc.).
No, this glove is not designed to work with our removable liner.
The gloves are awesome I have not worn out them from stonewall building to tree work wood removal. Seriously I would go through regular gloves constantly.. try them 👍👍👍👍
I have been looking for a glove company that would customize my right hand glove since I lost the index finger several years ago. I asked Vermont Glove and they immediately said yes. I sent a picture to the Vermont team and within a week I had my new set of gloves, including the customized right hand one! I won't be going to another glove company.......
Vermont gloves made me a custom pair of gloves for me. First pair and they absolutely nailed it! Perfect fit. Very comfortable, and the dexterity of the gloves preformed better then I could have imagined
I have tiny hands and have a hard time finding gloves that fit. We do a lot of camping and yard work and cheap hardware store gloves feel icky, don't last, and rarely do they carry XS. It means a lot to me that they're made in the U.S. I was able to get XS', but also XS short, so Iactually have my fingertips at the top of my
gloves! I can finally feel what I'm doing without an extra inch of leather above my fingers. They look at feel amazing and they're certainly rugged. I love my Vermont gloves. Highly recommend.

Hi Jon, we're so sorry you've had a rough experience with your gloves. Our team has reached out to you directly to resolve this issue for you!
Gloves are as awesome as their customer service! I haven’t gone back for another pair of gloves as these have definitely lasted me. They even put up with some light welding when I forget to put on my welding gloves and they’re fine, real Work gloves that last. Super tough!!! would definitely recommend, a definite buy it for life solution!!!
I bought the flatlander specifically to bring to Japan when I go to the bamboo forest to harvest bamboo for a bamboo tower that is constructed yearly at the Kamo Izumi sake brewery for the Saijo Higashihiroshima Japan Sake Fest. They call it Takezake or bamboo sake. A tower is constructed out of many wide-radius bamboo columns with one of them ramrodded out and cleaned to create a tank into which sake is poured, with a spigot at the bottom to dispense the sake into the festival-goer’s bamboo cups. I’ve been doing this for seven years and these new gloves are great to prevent bamboo splinters and hand injuries when we’re in the forest, cutting and loading freshly cut bamboo. Cheers to this great product - maybe the first pair in Japan?
Really great gloves. I’ve had them for about a month and they’re super comfortable and sturdy. I’m looking forward to using these for years. I plan on getting the winter gloves as summer winds down.
I’ve had the uphill ski gloves for a couple years now. I am a medium glove size in just about every brand, but I found the uphill ski gloves was a bit floppy with no liner. It’s a great glove for winter, but I wanted a glove that fit well without a liner.
I’ve been searching for a comparable quality glove that could be used for hotter weather. Vermont gloves just so happen to come out with this glove! It fits perfectly, it’s super comfortable, and I am really liking the streamlined look. I’m glad I can invest in a quality glove that will outlast ten pairs or more from the local hardware store.
I took photos of the gloves new and the gloves with conditioning and wax added.
Followed their directions for sizing and still wasn’t the right fit, fingers were 1/2 inch too long. I’m not sure the next order will be right also. We will see when it gets here.
the gloves were really comfortable but holes formed in the fingers after working in the yard daily for about a week (redoing our landscaping and hardscapes). If the price point was lower, I could justify purchasing another pair but think I will go with something else next time.

Hi Timothy, I'm glad we were able to connect and take care of getting the gloves repaired ASAP for you!
Only had a couple weeks & already showing their worth for me. Normally, threading would have already started splitting and small holes being created. So far, dealing with digging in the ground (around roots/stumps), hauling & handling large stone and a great deal of cutting limbs & trees have shown no more wear than some darkening of leather. Impressed. Will be ordering another pair if needed.
These are the most amazing work gloves I have ever found! They are soft yet tough and fit your hand like a literal glove! This will not be the only pair I own, and I will be purchasing a pair for my wife as well! Thank you for your dedication to your craft of making quality gloves.
Great gloves and a great fit! I’ve had them for several weeks so far, using them 5-6 days a week. They are very comfortable and well built. I would definitely recommend.
Best gloves I have ever wore period!!
I ordered the wrong size by mistake and Beaumont gloves sent my replacements very quickly. I have used them and I love them. I know that they will last a very, very long time. They are extremely well-made.
You cannot beat American made!
I usually try to make my own gloves. I work leather. But as I hand stitch and am short on time, I decided to take a chance on a Vermont pair. They are positively delightful! Second only to a custom tailored pair of work gloves… which I’m not sure is a thing unless one works with leather… Buttery soft! Be sure to coat with a leather protector if you’ll be working around water.
For my applications (protection from up to 190 degree heat in manufacturing and some light gardening) they’re perfect!
To be fair, these are the only gloves I’ve bought made by someone else… but I feel like custom fit is a fairly high bar to measure up to.
My flatlanders fit so well. Soft and only took a couple of rides on my Honda. Don’t take my word for it. Buy a pair and see for yourself. What do you have to lose.
After using them myself I bought a pair for my daughter who is clearing land. She loves them! Being able to get a pair that fit your own hand make VT Glove the best!
These are the best made gloves I have ever owned. They really perform and feel like they will last forever. Already thinking about buying another pair!
Should have send it from your outfit in Canada, it cost me about 75$ canadian just to pass the border. Too bad, Robertson dont supply short fingers gloves.
